Prática - Question words: when, where, how, what, and which
1. Onde - where
Onde fez o pesquisador pôr a gaiola?
Location - where are my keys (onde estão minhas chaves)
2. Quando - when
Quando é a maratona?
Time - When something happened or will happens.
Your phrase in portuguese is perfect.
3. Como - how
Como muitas pessoas convidou estão?
it's differente in portuguese, in this case your frase "how many" means in portuguese something like (quanto ou quantas) translating (quantas pessoas foram convidadas).
But it's similar like how are you? means (como está você) something like the people are feeling.
(Como) also have sense of comparation in English you can use "like"
you are happy like me - Você esta feliz assim como Eu
(Como) can be used like "As" you know - Como você sabe, something like point that person to know about the fact or "as we agreed" - como você concordou.
4. Que - what
O que hora deveria eu visitar você?
what can be used in portuguese like ( O que and Qual).
What is your name? - Qual é o seu nome. (
What is this? - O que é isso.
I know what you did - eu sei o que vc fez.
5. Qual - which
Qual guia levar o grupo hoje?
is the same explanation about the What.
In english we use which and we have some possibilities in portuguese we use the same word (QUAL) having or not having possibilities. The uniq diference is that we use (QUAIS) when the sentence are in plural.
Which are these countries? sounds like (Quais são esses paises?)
