Is there a connection between Swedish and Japanese?
I've come across an interesting word in Swedish, that is "skoj" (meaning "fun"). And from the little Japanese I know, there is also a word "すごい" (SUGOYI) with exactly the same pronunciation and it means "cool, super, awesome". The only difference is that "skoj" is a noun whereas "すごい" an adjective. It's really fascinating, isn't it? Maybe there is an unknown connection between Swedish and Japanese! What do you think? I could surely use some expertise on this issue :D!
