我家西面有一片树林，那是我最喜欢去的地方。我今天路过那里，惊奇的发现玉兰花树上长出了嫩芽，春天来了。

There is a woods to the west of my house where is my favorite place. To the west of my house, is a woodland where it is my favourite place. [The way your wrote means that the house and not the woods is your favourite place.  This is a common wording error for English students] I was amazed to find that the magnolia's leaves have are burgeoning out. Spring is here.

Good.  However, as translation, it is not.  Another technical point, 玉兰花 in English is called Michelia (Michelia Champaca alba, the white variety with fragrance).  Magnolia is totally a different kind.  Have a search for the images of these flowers on the internet.

There is a woodland to the west of my house.  It is my favourite place to go.  Today, as I was passing there, I noticed that tender leaves are budding in the Michelia trees.  Spring has come.
