We were astonished to hear the tragedy that happened to an female Indian university girl student who was raped by 6 Indian guys to death in an illegal vehicle on the way home. However, what caused the real much sorrow and despair for to the Indian woman is the fact that the policemen she turned to later even asked her to marry one of the rapists to smooth it away! And just yesterday, a 23-year-old Chinese citizen who worked in south India fell victim to the crazy land. She is luckier partly because she belongs to another country which would lose face both at home and in the international society community if it remained silent. *You can say "society", I just feel "community" sounds better here.

These repeated cases definitely do no good to the reputation of Indian men. I haven't dealt with any Indian guys in the flesh, but the cyber contact with them on this site would reminds me to remain sharp and aware of their intentions vigilance if in case one day I do would. Before I changed my the settings, everyday I would receive a few invitations from Indian guys and Pakistani guys where they called me "babe" or "sweetheart" even though while I didn't know who they were. When If I go to their pages, what I'll see there usually will just proves my guess further - no entries posted, no questions raised, no corrections. Just a blank page with 2 numbers on the left side: a three-figure number that shows how many users they follow, and a small number that follow them back. If you click out the number they follow, you will see a bunch of girls pictures, and girls only girls! Their purpose can't be clearer!

So I really wonder what exactly caused the insane behavior of some Indian men.

We also know another country which is known for the attitude people hold about sex, in a relatively positive way. The Netherlands. Sex there is never a restricted topic - it's just as a normal activity as having meals. Prostitutes show themselves inside the windows and men choose them like shopping in a supermarket. It's hard to believe such a country enjoys the lowest sex crime rate in the world.

In contrast, in India and the like, where most people feel ashamed to speak of "you-know-what", the natural desire for it has been suppressed depressed for too long, and once people get a chance to release it, the result can be horrible.

The situations in the Netherlands and India actually represent the two consequences of the different attitudes about sex in the West and East. A decent pleasure which is introduced to people with the its rules and wisdom it requires in the daylight can't stir as so much dangerous excitement as a forbidden box hidden in the darkness.
