About me
Hi, all!
I'm Herminio. I'm from Mexico, but I've been living in France for the last five years. I pursued my whole undergraduate and graduate studies in Toulouse, in southern France.
In a nutshell, I am here to practice and improve the languages which I have studied, all this by discussing and sharing my thoughs on more or less everything, ranging from daily life to philosophy, with a very pleasant detour on random stuff. Living abroad has given me the opportunity to meet people from very diverse horizons. This is something which I highly appreciate, as it is my belief that multiculturalism, more than a trend, is a need. Many of my best friends are foreigners, and so I am always willing to meet different people. It is my motto that heterogeneity is richness, and that the most culturally enriching experiences are the ones that, from an outsider perspective, look the most dauting and risky.
On a personal register, I'm very easy-going and open-minded. I highly appreciate pro-active, eager to think, yet sensible and empathic people. I rarely chit-chat, but I am anything but serious. I am rather zen, rarely angry, and almost permanently with a smile. I am interested in so many things, but it wouldn’t be pointless to name a few: culture, cuisine (a bad cook, but I an amazing eater), politics, literature (contemporary and classics; mainly french, russian, greek, and latinoamerican, but open to any book suggestion), coffee (god, nothing can beat a cappuccino!), news, economics, music, walking, internet. I'm also a movie addict, and go to the movies at least once a week. I enjoy using social platforms (e.g, facebook, youtube), and following global news. Most of all, I like having a say on all the social phenomena which I consider to be relevant. I am never passive, and I love discussing.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced speaker, I will very pleased to help you with your Spanish. My English and French are both good, but I am not the most suited person to offer it as an exchange language, since I am not a native speaker. Come on, send me a message. Please, don't hesitate, even if it is only to say hi, or if you only want to have a nice chat or to talk on skype.
Best regards,
Herminio
