First notebook entry: Introducing myself

I want to learn Cantonese because I have visited been to Hong Kong, Macao, and close by areas of PRC. I know it is a challenge but I was really encouraged by the patience and good nature of the people when I have made an effort to say the few words I know. The Guandonghua (did I spell this correctly?) speakers seemed to appreciate my attempt and we all had a good laugh.
I am bilingual Spanish/ English I grew up in Mexico as a US expat.
My interests are varied. I enjoy Investing, business, outdoor sports in tropical places, cooking, hands on property remodeling. I enjoy world history/culture.
