One of my new year’s resolutions

One of my new year’s resolutions is to see as many Kabuki performances as many as possible.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing Kabuki at a rebuilt Kabuki theater this April.
However, the news that actors of the most influential Kabuki actors passed away in these last 2 months shocked me deeply.
They were too young to go and had lots of things to teach the next generation.
I don’t want to miss any chance to see Kabuki performances which the great legends who are left will give us.

[Very good.  Is Kabuki still popular in Japan?  I think it might be a little like opera here in the U.S.  It seems the audiences are becoming smaller each year.]
