One of my new year’s resolutions

One of my new year’s resolutions is to see Kabuki performances as many as possible.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing Kabuki at a rebuilt Kabuki theater this April.
However, the news, which 2 actors of the most influential Kabuki actors passed away in this 2 months, shocked me deeply.
They were too young to go and had lots of things to teach for next generation.
I don’t want to miss any chance to see Kabuki performances which the great legends, who are left, will give us.

[Very good.  Is Kabuki still popular in Japan?  I think it might be a little like opera here in the U.S.  It seems the audiences are becoming smaller each year.]
