Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
The best teacher is one who is very knowledgeable about the subject matter.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
A teacher is a very important figure in our lives. He guides us through the way of learning in the moment we are not able to acquire knowledge by our own. As he usually present us a picture of some matter some people may wonder if it is more appropriate that he has all the knowledge about that matter. But we should take into account that a teacher is not made only of acknowledgement about the matter, it is also valuable knowing how to take out student's attention as well as presenting an issue in a logic flow.
When subjects are told as boring or uninteresting, to convey them it is required not only a very knowledgeable teacher. For instance, even thought Mathematics is very important for those ones who aspire being engineers, most of students do not have interest in learning how to solve an equation, knowing its utilities, and going deeper on it. A teacher also could find hurdles in trying to transmit History to those students who wish to be engineers. For that reason, the one who has the mission to teach should be sensitive to identify the best way to present his matter in order to generate the interest on the learners.
When subjects are told as difficult, it is required a very competent teacher who turns possible the students learning them as if they were easy. That means that the teacher has to be highly capable of creating a good flow in which the students do not feel severe difficult on assimilating those matters.
Much more than knowledge a teacher must have both the abilities to get student's interest and to present the issue in an easier way. When subjects are told as boring or difficult, other competencies are required. Hence, in my opinion acknowledgment should not be considered the only required competence in a teacher. Finally, familiarity with subject matters and other competences should also be taken into account.
