First notebook entry: Introducing myself

大家好！

我叫sjuuli。我想学习汉语，因为我很想去中国再住一年（住一年）。 我的 母语 是 荷兰语。我是荷兰人。我也会说英文。

我的汉语是很差。请帮助我！谢谢！

我喜欢吃饭，睡觉，看书，看电影， 怠惰 （being lazy)（怠惰有些正式，不太符合整个句子的感觉，可以说“偷懒”），挣钱 (earn money)。

“再住一年”指的是你以前在中国住过。而且是“再”而不是“在”。如果以前没住过，就是“住一年”。

我叫sjuuli。我学习汉语，because(因为 yin1 wei2) 我很想去中国在住一年(I feel a little bit confused about this sentence. Do you mean you want to live in China one more year or you are planning to go to China for one year? If it is the first one, it will be 我很想去中国再住一年。 If it is the second one, it might be 我很想去中国住一年【without 在】) 。 我的 native language(母语）是 荷兰语。我是荷兰人。我也会说英文。

基本上中国人不会说“我喜欢吃饭”。他们通常会说“我喜欢美食”——“I like fine food.” 或者说“我喜欢吃”——"I like eating".“我喜欢吃” is very informal.
