Third lesson: I would say more
I said that my quality of life is getting better. What I've left unsaid is how I like to measure such quality. I think the quality of life is mostly related to the happiness. The happiness comes from the way we think. I mean if you perceive the world and all the events you're involved in correctly there is no reason for you to be unhappy. So when I say my life is getting improved, I don't mean my income is raising or I'm buying a new car. I mean that there are fewer problems I can perceive as something negative and destructive, and there are more miracles opening to my sight.
I like music, but I cannot say I've mastered any musical instrument. I was playing guitar when I was younger. The problem is that it was taking too much effort for me to be able to play a melody. Being stubborn, I could spent days trying to play better. The more I've learned, the more I've realized that it's not enough. Besides, I was a bad singer. So, I gave up, as soon as I've found myself more capable in other subjects.
Despite that, I like to listen to the music. I choose instrumental music to help my ideas flow better when I involved in some creativity. And I like vocals to help to raise my mood and relax. I prefer deep music. There are a lot of such examples in classics, new age genre and romantic collections.
Then was the question about volunteer work. I cannot say that I've done any noticeable volunteer work yet. But I think I've done a lot of minor things to help people feel better. But are they so minor? The problem of our world is that people are very self-oriented.
And even if you have a lot of resources to give your still cannot be sure the gift will make anything better in a long-term period of time. On the other hand, I can say that even a smile given from the heart to some upset person might be a very good gift to provide. Only love can heal. So, the best volunteer work people can do is to express their love to the others, at least in their minds. In that way we’re working with the cause, not the effect. This idea was also left unsaid by me.
To conclude, I must say I was not well prepared to answer the questions during our class. I often had no structured and finished ideas to express. Another problem was the lack of words to say in my active vocabulary.
I will try to be better prepared next time.

In the third lesson with Shariz, we were discussing other subjects related to life styles, like the quality of life, music, volunteer work, etc.
