Grammer Examples
I am not sure how to explain in Thai, but to make sure I understand basic grammar I would like to make sure I can write these sentences correctly. Thank you for you help in advance.
The mango is red. มะม่วงสีแดงตาง
It’s Somchai’s mango. มะม่วงของคุณสมชาย
I give Somchai the mango. ผมให้มะม่วงคุณสมชาย
We give him the mango. เราให้มะม่วงกับเขา
He gives it to Somchai. เขาให้มันคูณสมชาน เขาให้มันกับเขา
She gives it to him. เธอให้มันกับเขา
Is the mango red? นี่คือมะม่วงสีแดงตางใช่ไหม
The mangos are red. มะม่วงๆสีแดง
I must give it to him. ผมต้องไห้ให้มันกับเขา
I want to give it to her. ผมอยากให้มันกับเธอ
I’m going to know tomorrow. วันพรุ่งนี้ผมกำลังจะได้รู้
I have eaten the mango. ผมกินมะม่วงแล้ว
I can’t eat the mango. ผมกินมะม่วงไม่ได้
Memorizing the format of the sentences is any idea from Tim Ferris' book the 4-Hour Chef.
1. กับ ( to + pronoun) if you take or give somthing to everybody you can use this word.
2. The mangos are red. มะม่วงๆสีแดง In Thai,we know "are" is many thing but we usauly speak a one word like "is".
is mango = มะม่วง (We know it's 1 mango but we call "มะม่วง")
are mangos = มะม่วง (We know ,more mangos but we call "มะม่วง")
is car = รถยนต์ (We know it's 1 car but we call "รถยนต์")
are cars= รถยนต์ We know ,more cars but we call "รถยนต์")
