la amistad: en español, casi siempre se utilizan los artículos (la, las, los, el) antes de los sustantivos ("nouns"); excepto cuando se refieren a nombres o sustantivos personales ("personal nouns").

me propongo: "me" indica que tú eres quien realiza la acción. Ejemplos: me río, me siento, me levanto, me decido.

con lo que más le gusta: Otros ejemplos: lo que más quiere, lo que más desea, lo que más me motiva, etc. 

Durante esta época: no nos referimos al tiempo, sino a la época, "época" es más específico. 

Anuncios de joyerías, restaurantes: Quitamos "las" porque no es específico, las joyerías es como que las conoces, mientras que sin "las" estás generalizando, te refieres a todas las joyerías (las conozcas o no, estén donde estén).

Te prometen complacer: es innecesario decir lo demás, aunque si quisieras, podrías usar: "te prometen que van a complacer".

"ser querido" es la expresión común para referirse a la gente que quieres. "Seres queridos" en plural.

Descubierto: Realizing. Encontrado: Finding 

Cosas que le encantan: porque estás hablando en plural. Encanta: singular.

Que te cuesten/gastarte: cualquiera de los dos verbos en estas formas.

Actually: De hecho, no Actualmente. 

Quien amas: es más común para referirte a tu pareja.

De lo que las joyerías te hagan creer: "las" porque es femenino (joyerías), los para masculino (gatos, carros, etc.) Hagan es la conjugación correcta del verbo, "habrían" es condicional (If statement).

Actualmente En realidad, (Actualmente means currently)esto es el verdadero espíritu del día de San Valentín - Mostrarle a su tu corazón que estás pensando en ella vale más que mostrarle que tanto dinero estás dispuesto a pagar a pesar de lo que los joyerías joyero (remember joyeria is the place where you buy jewels, joyero is the man who sells and know about jewels) te habría hacen creer.

Durante este tiempo esta época del año es común ver anuncios comerciales de los (keep in mind that it´s a female noun, but the article is not necessary in the sentence) joyerías y restaurantes finos y todo tipo de regalos elegantes que te prometen que vayan a complacer a tu más querido ser querido pero he encontrado que por con poner atención a poco un poco de atención (or "poner atención un poco) puedes sorprenderla con cosas que le encantarán realmente sin costarte un ojo de la cara (good unformal speech!). Actualmente De hecho (actualmente means "currently") esto es el verdadero espíritu del día de San Valentín - Mostrarle a su corazón tu amada que estás pensando en ella vale más que mostrarle qué tanto dinero estás dispuesto a pagar a pesar de lo que los joyerías te habrían harían (was it a typo?) creer.
