I Wonder If People in Other Countries Do Spring-cleaning. ;)

Spring cleaning is an Iranians' custom which has been common since ancient time, before Persian New Year. In each home, everything is thoroughly cleaned, from the drapes to the furniture. :D
Most Iranians are busy shopping and cleaning their homes before the New Year. I suppose, shopping a good part but cleaning a house is a back-breaking work. :)
Iranians continue the practice of "khooneh tekouni" which literally means "shaking the house" just before the New Year.

I can hear the hum of bees, these hard working creatures when they pollinate trees, and I can see trees start to sprout leaves again and reproduce. That means spring is coming. ^-^
Spring is my favorite season because not only was I born in that season, but I also love its mild temperature. In March, when all trees blossom, the entire city is filled with a pleasant aroma, because almost all trees here is orange. I am eagerly looking forward to spring. In summer, however, everyone wants to die because summer is really hot here. I hate summertime here. I hope it never comes. :D

This picture shows the countryside of my city. My cousin took this picture in the last spring. ;)

[Excellent, as usual.  One error that native speakers make, too:  Since you said 'an Iranian' (singular), the possessive would be 'an Iranian's'.  If you had used plural, it would have been "the Iranians' "  The plural 's' is difficult in certain situations.  I also changed the order in the first sentence because it changes the meaning in a subtle way.  By the way, I don't like summer much in Atlanta, either.]
