First notebook entry: Introducing myself

I am learning English because I want to make more friends and study abroad. My native language is Chinese and I grew up in China. I will be right here waiting for your connection, my dear friends.

You did a very nice job with this short essay.  It seems you are ready to write even more next time!  I used the word "connection" in the last sentence but it could be written many different ways depending on what you want to express.
