Italki gives me a surprise!!
I entered on Italki determined to practice my english speaking, then I met with difficulties that were unknown to me.
I thought speak was like reading
I thought speak was like thinking
I thought that I could speak just because I can comprehend what I'm listening... in this way I had surprises.
I can speak... but I count with small difficulties.
Do you think speak is the most difficult part of learning another language?

I don't think it's the most difficult, yet I believe it is the most challenging to practice if you are not in a native-speaking country. Speech production (speaking) and comprehension are two separate skills, and are stored in different parts of the brain.
Nowadays, gaining access to literary and audible material (e-books, online articles, chat, music, YouTube videos, etc.) are fairly easy to access and to practice comprehension. However, practicing speaking is not as easy if you live where that language is not commonly spoken. Have you ever met two people that will speak their own different languages to each other, yet still understand one another?
My suggestion is to practice common conversation, at the very least, as often as you can. When you watch English YouTube videos, or listen to English music, try to repeat what they are saying every step of the way. This will help your brain get used to putting these phrases and words together, and further help you with speaking more fluently and naturally.
Good Luck!

Dri: yes. Speaking requires that one be relaxed and at ease. Confidence with vocabulary is a must. That is why I prefer songs for English practice.--Warm Regards, Bruce
