Planning a journey

Dear friends,
Since For a while I've been planning to visit the United Kingdom as I've never gone been there before. I'm planning to take an eight day trip, but I'm not sure how spend my time there.
My wife wants to go in to London, but stopping over there would require at least four of or five days. Instead I'd like to travel around the Midlands, so I think have not so much we don't have time to do both.
I guess the London visit is inevitable, beacuse as a husband I can't avoid to accomplish disappoint my wife in her request (you know how do the women do ...). So, in order for both of us to be happy to save both ways, I think we'll stop in London for three days, then we will rent a car and will start to travel to the North. I don't know what which towns would be best to visit are better to get , maybe Cambridge, Birmingham, York, Leeds and Newcastle.
If you have any advice for my journey, I'd be glade if you could share it with me. told me.

Good job for the most part, I understood all you were saying.  I just wanted to offer some different corrections than those already posted.  This way you have a few different ways you can say the same thing. With English its going to vary from region to region on what sounds natural!
