Heute Morgen war ich allzu früh aufgewacht. Meine Nachbarn sind von Zeit zu Zeit zu laut. Sie sitzen auf ihrer Terrasse und chatten reden/plaudern/unterhalten sich ZU laut. Sie sitzen Zentimeter voneinander entfernt aber sie schreien miteinader. Das Problem ist, dass die Uhrzeit 3 Uhr morgens ist! Dies passiert ungefähr zweimal pro Woche.

Your pronounciation is very good and absolutely understandable.

The difference between "Sie sitzen ...." and "Sie setzen sich..." is that in the first case the people are already in their seats. The second case is still in progress. 

Sie sitzen auf der ... - they are sitting on the ...

Sie setzen sich auf ..... - they are gonna be seated/ they are going to sit down/they are sitting down at this very moment. 

So in your case, it's correct to use "Sie sitzen ..." coz they are already in their seats.
