每逢佳节胖三斤

Wang Wei, a poet of the Tang Dynasty wrote a famous poem, which used to express the feeling of missing someone or their families. Here are the sentences, "独在异乡为异客,每逢佳节倍思亲" means if you were a lonely stranger in foreign land, you may always missing your families at the Festival period.

But nowadays, young people exchange this sentence into"每逢佳节胖三斤". It is ridiculous, in people's eyes, no matter what festival is, eating is the most important thing. After the festival, almost everyone seems a little bit fatter than before.
