One can not successed if he could not control himself

Self-control is a foundmental quality one must have if he is aiming at success in whatever field. People normally measure one's EQ, emtion quotient by the extend to which you can control your mood. As an average person, chances are that you could not make everything go the way you expected, whereas it is theoretically possible to keep your temper when things or people upset you. On one hand, if you lose temper easily, you may disappoint or even affence someone in which case give them a negetive impression. On the other hand, if you act properly when bad thing happens or you are not equally treated, you are help improving your profile. At least you won't get mad for it.
I started to practice self-control from the first working day this year after China's spring festival. Before that, I have already initialled anther plan since last October to go on a diet. I managered to lose 7 kilogram till now, and I feel very happy and health.
On top of that, I find myself more confident and optimistic now whenever I have the feeling that I can control myself. That's the right track for me I think, otherwise I would depend on other's opinion for my happiness.
That's what I have in mind recently, any corrections or comments are appreciated.

    One can't succeed, if one can't control one's self

As an average person, chances are that you could not make everything go the way you expected, whereas it is theoretically possible to keep your temper when things or people upset you. On top of that, I find myself more confident and optimistic now whenever I have the feeling that I can control my emotions, actions, and thoughts. That's the right track for me to take, I believe, or else I would depend on other's opinions for my happiness.
