The third week in the semester
I had three lectures today from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The lectures I took are: Some Topics on Linguistics and the book’s title is “Pragmatics and Discourse”; Essay; and Civilization.
In the first lecture I raised my hand and answered some of the questions which the teacher asked us, because I prepared beforehand. I was very happy that I tried to participate in class even though I got nervous and I didn’t answer well at first but by the second question she asked us I answered it correctly.
In the Essay lecture we took some proverbs, and then the teacher told us to write short notes about over-population. At the end of the lecture she gave us an assignment for next Sunday about friendship. She wants us to write two pages about friendship.
In the Civilization lecture the teacher talked about Kings and Queens of the United Kingdom from 1603 to the present day.
