拿主意:colloquial; 决定, written language. 

拿主意 is right grammatically in this case. But it is not harmonic for its tone. Most words are neutral, some are very colloquial or very formal. 


当我在上海环球金融中心的顶部， 我看到很多灯，但我也看到更多(的)黑暗(了)。

如果上海环球金融中心应该像日本军的刀子的话，上海已被刺伤。 Brilliant imagination!

我以为我喜欢上海中心面积 地区。但我不能一定说什么具体。但我说不出具体是什么。but I cannot say anything particular.

area has at least two kind of translations: 面积 size; 地区.

可惜我不能说好/流利 的汉语，我也不确定我的思维像（一个）中国人，但他仍然说了有趣的东西。（maybe I would say 但我们仍交流了很多有趣的东西。since in the first you said you couldn't speak Chinese well enough, and use “but” to connect the second part. If the second part is only how he was talking, there was no apparent adversative relations between the two clauses. I'm not sure if I elaborate it well.）

Don't put “和” as a conjunction between two sentences in Chinese.

意义 would be better. 有什么意思吗 is ambiguous, it might mean "are these people interesting for Chinese people?" If you tried to say this, I suggest you say: 这些人对中国人而言有意思/趣吗？rather than 在中国人的思维里。
