First notebook entry: Introducing myself

Like I said in my write up in my profile, I love learning languages. I started learning a third language when I visited my grandmother in the Philippines. She had books on Spanish Grammar and the book seemed very interesting and very easy to learn. So I picked it up and after a month, I could say that I could read most literature in Spanish.

I only learned it from a book, so when I started conversing with some friends who knew it, I was a little behind and couldn't pick up easily. So, I realized that a language learner also needed to learn the "conversation" aspect.

Anyway, that started my interest in language learning. That was followed by French which helped me a whole lot when I visited France a few years back.

After that, I started to learn and pick up a few phrases in Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese and recently Arabic because of one of my friends who is Jordanian American.

I was born and raised in the Philippines, that's why I am fluent in Filipino and English.

I enjoy things/activities other than learning languages. But, since this website is all for helping others or meeting others who have inclination to learning languages, I'd be honored to help in any way. I am not a professional language teacher but I can help--promise, I'll do my best :D
