المفعول المطلق

is the verbal name for the arabic verb, often used in the literature and old-stylish texts to indicate one of the following purposes

1- to affirm the the action like كلم الله موسى تكليما

رجت الارض رجا

2- it also used to indicate the type of that action (usually you describe the type of action)

ضربته ضربا مبرحا

احبه حبا جما

احترم ابي احتراما كبيرا

3-it also used to show "how many times"
