Apart from forgetting the 'the' your sentence is correct, but this is a more natural way to say it:

Today it is the middle of the March, but I look outside through the window,  and I can see only snow.

And you are right, it's -5 in the Netherlands even in the night and morning, and I keep on moving the flowers in and out from the balcony to my living room, and back again.
