Struggling with American English Hi! I'm trying to improve my listening and speaking skills in American English. I watch a lot of movies, but it's still difficult for me to understand casual speech. Though, I have no problem understanding videos on sites such as YouTube, when people are speaking more formally. Also I'm having difficulties with glottal stops, held "T" and other sounds. I'd be glad if someone could help me with this problem.

American English phonetics is my specialty. I'm working with several Russians at the moment and helping them with these and other typical problems for Russian speakers. Let me know if you're interested.

Maybe you can make an audio file of you saying words with "t" and other sounds that you might have trouble with? Then you can post your audio file here or something and other people can try to help you with the sound from there on :)
