Magandang gabi po sainyo lahat~ (My first attempt at introducing myself in Tagalog/Filipino) Help!

Ako ay si Cheryl at dalawang dalawa taon. Nagtatrabaho ako sa Japan nygayon. Taga Brisbane Australia ako. Ang tatay ako ay Australyano at ang nanay ako ay Pilipina. Gusto kong mag-aral ng Tagalog!

I'm probably completely wrong with all my grammar (because I guessed! haha) but I hope someone can help correct me! I really want to speak Tagalog one day so I can talk to my relatives in the Philippines!

Magandang gabi po sa inyong lahat~ (My first attempt at introducing myself in Tagalog/Filipino) Help!

Ako ay si Cheryl, at dalawang dalawampu't dalawang taong gulang. Nagtatrabaho ako sa Japan nygayon ngayon. Taga-Brisbane, Australia ako. Ang tatay ako ay Australyano at ang nanay ako ay Pilipina  Filipina. Gusto kong mag-aral ng Tagalog!

Your Tagalog is good, however I just want to point out some important uses of hyphens (gitling). We have to hyphenate mag-aral because it's pronounced as "mag_a_ral" otherwise it may cause confusion and will be wrongly pronounced as "ma_ga_ral".

We also hyphenate words whenever the prefix is followed by a proper noun. (e.g. Taga-Brisbane)

    Just a bit of history:

*Pilipina is fine but Filipina is more preferable and historically accurate. Originally named as Las Islas Felipenas/Filipinas and anglicised to Philippines (English "Ph" pronounced as "F"), its inhabitants are called Filipinos until 1940s when the Institute of National Language adopted the reduced set of alphabet, removing some letters including F. Thus, without F, Filipino is impossible so they settled with Pilipino instead. This set of alphabet proved to be rather unhelpful and difficult so by the new Philippine alphabet revisions of 1976 and 1987, the use of F is constitutionally correct.

    Hope this helps. ;)
