Are you learning the Persian alphabet as well? I don't know Farsi, but I studied the alphabet for Arabic and I found it so much easier to work with the standardized Arabic alphabet than to deal with all the different transliterations that are possible. Good luck with your studies, and thank you for the help with my French entry!
