My first entry! Visit to China, part 1
大家好！
I am going to try to write at least one entry a week for the next two months. (Maybe more, if I’m motivated!) I hope to practice my vocabulary and learn proper Chinese grammar.
To start, I will be telling a story in segments (over several posts) about a trip to China.

English version (what I actually want to say):
In 2010, I went to China. I stayed in China for two months. I flew into Beijing and stayed there for one night. Then I took the train to Shanghai. The train ride was long (14 hours). I took another train from Shanghai to Changzhou. I stayed in Changzhou for two weeks.
中文版本：
2010年，我去（过）了*中国。 我在中国住了两个月。我坐飞机去北京并在北京住了一个天晚。之后以后我坐火车去上海，火车的行程很久（14个小时）。 （坐火车很长。） 接着*，我乘坐另一列*火车从上海到常州我坐火车。 我在常州住了*两个星期。
Notes:
<em>了</em> - past tense signal. Compared with <em>过</em>, <em>了</em> is more felxible and more frequently used in daily life.
<em>并/并且 - and</em>
<em>之后/接着</em> - <em>then, after that</em>. 以后 is more like <em>in the future</em>.
<em>另一列 - another train</em>
