Fear of speaking I've been learning English for almost three years. My language skills have improved, but I'm still afraid of speaking. At last weekends I was in Kostroma. There were some English lessons with a native speaker. It was a good experience for me. I realized that it is really difficult to talk with native speaker. When I had to speak with him personally, I'd forgotten all words I knew. I could not say that I should miss a last lesson. I said: "I... I..." and could not remember other words. I was so upset, really. Reading, writing and listening are simplier for me than speaking. Of course, I have a lot of problems with them, but I'm able to do it. I speak English with my teacher without any difficulties, but I really can't speak with native speaker. Is it shyness or inexperience? Or I just don't have an ability to speak a foreign language? I don't know.

Nazerke, thank you for advice! I hope it is really because I have not practice. Maks, I hope this problem will disappear.

Don`t worry, Liza! Speaking is coming with practice. I recommend to skype with English speakers.
