Notes : (Sorry, I don't know your actual level in French, and as I might use some technical words or concepts, I want you to fully understand, so please don't get offended if I use English in these notes).

1 : "Entry" is definitely an English word. The equivalent could be "entrée", unfortunately, this word doesn't work here, so you'll have to use something else. One might think that it is okay to use it because of "entrée" in a dictionary (the English word that you use is an extension from this meaning that did not happen in French), but it would be wrong. Then why not simply say "texte"? Have a look there:

http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/entr%C3%A9e

2 : Whatever some might say (because they are used to English), it's wrong. You never say "Je suis François" (for instance) to introduce yourself, except maybe in a very particular situation when you're in a group, and your addressee knows that there is a François, and you then say that you are this very guy. Otherwise, you introduce yourself by stating your name, or in a formal situation, just saying it (without any other word).

3 : Some nations/countries are pretty flexible when it comes to using the diacritics in their language. The Romanians, for example, will not care much whether you write "limba română" or "limba romana". Well, the French do care. So let's say you're quickly writing on a messenger to your French pal overseas, he won't complain. But here you're submitting a text written on a computer, so you need to find a way to switch the keyboard when you write in a different language (I write everyday in four different languages and thus switch constantly between three different keyboard — no need for English, it doesn't have diacritics). Some good link about it if you're using Windows:

http://www.conversationexchange.com/resources/keyboard-language.php

If you're using Ubuntu, it's even easier:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/68127/how-to-switch-language-keyboard-combination

4 : Unless you're speaking in a chat-room or on a messenger, using expressions such as "lol" is definitely frowned upon, especially by people above 30 (which is my case). Don't push your luck and avoid it. Additional note from the linguist : saying that "French is better than English" doesn't make much sense, but hey, I'm not here to judge your opinion, am I?

5 : Capital letter with proper nouns, please. Addtional note : I've heard very good thigns about this program.

5 : « J'achète des livres », "des" is considered a contraction of "de les", indicating that you buy "some of them", and not all of them, which would be the case if you write "j'achète les livres" (=I buy the books).

7 : Very good construction. Problematic for a lot of French learners.

8 : Another typography little thing. Before the so-called "double signes de ponctuation", you have to add a space. These signs are the following :

; : ! ? « »

A lot of French people are only vaguely aware of this rule, but they still apply it anyway.

Bon courage, et continue comme ça !
