Typical morning A Typical morning in my home is very chaotic. The bathroom is like a battlefield. In my family, we study or work in the morning. So everybody gets up early and fights to be the first to use the bathroom. Well, no everybody, just the girls... the six girls. Because the only mirror is there, I usually use to see me the reflect of the microwave's door. It's not great, but it's better than nothing. Thanks God, I don't wear make-up ha ha ha. We're eight persons and we don't talk a lot, but my grandma listens to the radio, my mom checks her e-mail, my sister and cousin watch TV, my little brother plays games on the cumputer ... Everyone do something noisy while has breakfast

Typical morning

A typical morning in my home is very chaotic. The bathroom is like a battlefield (makes sense, but native speakers often say "like a warzone"). In my family, we study or work in the morning. So everybody gets up early and fights to be the first to use the bathroom. Well, not everybody, just the girls... the six girls. Because the only mirror is there, I usually use to see me the reflect of the microwave's door (I usually use the microwave door to see my reflection). It's not great, but it's better than nothing. Thanks God, I don't wear make-up ha ha ha.

We're eight persons There are eight of us and we don't talk a lot, but my grandma listens to the radio, my mom checks her e-mail, my sister and cousin watch TV, my little brother plays games on the computer ... Everyone does something noisy while has breakfast

I often here Spanish speakers say "We are [number]" as a direct translation of "Somos [numero]," but it does not sound natural in English.  It is correct to say "There are [number] of us."
