Portuguese II Portuguese II Other thing that I've noticed to be very hard in Portuguese are verbs - and, I admit: they are very hard to native speaker too. In Portuguese we have these verbal inflections: "presente" (the action is practice at moment): "Eu almoço cedo"; "pretérito" or "passado" (the action already happened): "Eu almocei cedo"; "pretérito imperfeito" (the action was practiced, but still it is not concluded): "Eu almoçava, quando..."; "pretérito perfeito" (the action was practised and concluded): "Eu almocei"; "pretérito mais-que-perfeito (the action was practiced before other also in the past): "Eu já almoçara quando o carteiro chegou". "Futuro" (the action will be conclued afterwards): "Almoçarei mais tarde". "Futuro do presente simples" (the action is later at moment we are): "Eu almoçarei mais tarde" "Futuro do presente composto" (the action will be conclude before of other, later): "Quando vocês chegarem, já terei almoçado". "Futuro do pretérito simples" (the action is later at other in the past): "Eu almoçaria mais tarde. se Judite concordasse". "Futuro do pretérito composto" (the action would be concluded afterwards at other in the past): "Eu teria almoçado mais tarde, se soubesse de sua vinda".
