Why English? Thanks to Wolff784 from lingq.com for his amazing lesson of writing style. His corrected version of my last post: _____________________ You are never too old to learn. Well, for a quick introduction, then. You what? You are retired, aren’t you? But what do you do? Anyway, you can’t be only retired. You have got to do something, haven’t you? My friends can’t neither believe what they hear nor why I’m retired and having nothing to do! What did you do yesterday or last weekend? I don’t know and I don’t need to be remembering of what I did last Sunday or last month. Who needs to know it and what for? I only need to know what have to do today and tomorrow! It is so easy in the care of reminders. Finally, I can spend my time in learning English, being conscious of what I’m doing and keeping my brain fresh and in working as they always said. But why are you learning English? I have been asked again and again. Now, I know: it so simple as that the world is getting smaller and smaller. My wife has solved it, she has found her relatives in the USA recently. Unfortunately for her. She has never spoken English. It is unbelievable, now I read all their posts to my family and write all our answers over the ocean! So, why English? Being retired, seems that I will need English more than before and finally, being conscious of what kind of English I would prefer.
