personal statement1 Engineering is the result of the equation: Scientific knowledge + Mathematics; and holds the purpose of creating processes from which all Earth's inventions develop. It is a concept which dates back from the early beginning. All the revolutionary inventions and dignified constructions are based on engineering genius, precision, and the ability of a mind with a high caliber. As a student who majors in engineering, I am quite exceptional at it, but I'd also like to show everyone that have obtained many more fortes. Before entering college, I have been learning painting, since the age of 4 I have always believed that painting is the very expression that can show the understanding to the world and the emotions deep down one's heart, and it was the cornerstone of my good grades in engineering drawing in college. And I am a great fan of music as well. When I was five I started learning basic knowledge of music, and began playing the flute a year later. When I was 12, I have got the diploma of Level 9 of flute from Central Conservatory of Music, which is the highest affirmation given by the top authority in the field of amateur of music, To enrich my personality I also learned Chinese literature in high school. To be honest, it did affect me a lot, for I've been set up my own view of the world because the books I have read since I was a child. So I would like to share my personal views with others after I read any kind of books, in order to gain other people's thoughts to widen my horizon. Though art and literature have always been the field that I love, its limitations with starting a career.
