How do you say :" prendre la route ." ? We using this expression when we leave and we're leaving on the road by car, bus, motorbike.... or also when we leave at walk.

    It is possible in English to say "to take a walk/take the bus/take a taxi" - this would be the equivalent of "prendre" in this sense, except "to take a walk" which really means "se promener". 

     

    Note, you can't say "take a/the bike" in this context, you have to say "by bike". Here, "by (mode of transport)" is more flexible than "take (a mode of transport)".
