Useless free time I'd like to tell you a little about wasting our time. Everyday I see hundred people wasting their time. It's happened in trains, in underground, on coffee-break on work and, of course, at home. Our free time became useless. How? When we have become so? Do you know exactly, how many books have you read previous year? Do you read books? Or how many languages do you speak very well? I know, the strong time-management is very hard, not everyone can do it. Even capable people shall from time to time. I respect Lubischev, there is a book about him, "This strange life" (on Russian). He wasn't famous, but he's made so much in biology, phylosophy, maths and in other subjects. I don't offer use time-management of your free time so strong as Lubischev, but look, how do you waste it. How often do you sit in the Internet, or watch TV? If I have a little free minutes, I try to read books (I dislike modern books. Ancient Greek autors were very cool. Or Roman's as Cicero) or I learn new words. I try to develop myself in freetime. Recently I saw people in train. They have about 1-1,5 hours of time, but they didn't do anything. Even didn't sleep.. They missed only, bored.. Useless free time? It's a very big modern problem, I think.

Useless free time

I'd like to tell you a little about wasting our time. Everyday I see hundreds of people wasting their time. It's happens in trains, in the underground, on coffee-breaks at work and, of course, at home. Our free time has become useless. How? When we have become so did we get like this?
Do you know exactly, how many books you have read this past year? Do you even read books? Or How many languages do you speak very well?
I know, the strong time-management is very hard, not everyone can do it. Even capable people shall from time to time (What shall capable people do? The sentence is incomplete). I respect Lubischev, there is a book about him, "This strange life" (in Russian). He wasn't famous, but he's done so much in biology, phylosophy, maths and in other subjects.
I don't offer use time-management of your free time so strong as Lubischev (I don't understand), but look at how you waste it. How often do you sit on the Internet, or watch TV?
If I have a few free minutes, I try to read books (I dislike modern books. Ancient Greek authors were very cool. Or Roman's like Cicero) or I learn new words. I try to improve myself in my freetime.
Recently I saw people on the train. They had about 1-1,5 hours of time, but they didn't do anything. Even didn't sleep.. They missed only (I don't understand), bored..
Useless free time? It's a very big modern problem, I think.

Personal note - I agree, I think a lot of people don't realize the potential of free time and all the things they could accomplish with it. By the same token, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It could be that they work so hard in such important things and really excel in what they do when they're busy, so when they have free time they really just want to zone out. Take a mental break. It can be healthy sometimes. But you're right, if someone lives his or her life as a couch potato, it's no good for anyone.
