My new day routine part 1

It's been five days since I went to an academy in order to improve my knowledge of math and chemistry subjects. These took me a lot of time last year, because in my case, I constantly need a constant teacher to answer all my questions every hour. For now, they're not really difficult, but it's not like memorizing words or drawings, like for example at biology or history, for example. You need to understand what you are calculating or if not, it will be a mess.

Before taking this decision, I considered myself a dumb for not getting to learning more easily. I've spent hours and days staring at one chemistry problem until I began to understand it. My left brain side has almost died, since the logic doesn't work for me. Fortunately, I'm not alone. More than half of my classmates failed the exams. I was lucky I'm a bookworm and I didn't throw in the towel.

However, it costs to keep yourself  awake after nine months with only six hours or less of sleep.

The next year, I'll get the university entrance exams. According to what students say, they are not impossible to pass, but I have to keep in mind that the mark average is between 6 and 7, and with 6, I can't get access to any type of 'decent' degree, except engineering, where the minimum required mark is 5. To some boys of my class, it's a huge bit of luck, because they can spend all year without doing anything than just being daydreaming.

Life is full of opportunists and people who die for work.

Great job! In English we say "take an exam" rather than "hacer un examen." Also we say, "It has been ___ since" for "Hace ____ desde que."
