The SLOW BALLADS English songs are very similar to dialogue in speaking. Here is a link to my Notebook Entries, which contains the printed lyrics (words) to many songs. http://www.italki.com/user/1126711#notebook Also, may I suggest that you start with the slow ballads? Here is a short list, that should be easy for you to work with. When you find a Language Partner to practice with, you can read over the words and talk about the song. "More Than You Know" by Michelle Pfeiffer "Crazy" sung by Patsy Cline "Nature Boy" sung by Nat King Cole "Wish you were here"---- sung by Pink Floyd "Cry Me A River" sung by Joan Baez or Diane Krall "The Prayer" sung by Chloe Agnew and Celtic Woman "Comin' Back To Me" sung by Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane "You Send Me" sung by Sam Cooke "Sweet Love" sung by Anita Baker "Autumn Leaves" sung by Nat King Cole "Hurt" sung by Johnny Cash "Amazing Grace" sung by Judy Collins "Trail Of Broken Hearts" sung by K. D. Lang & The Reclines "Woodstock" sung by Joni Mitchell (Nobody will be able to sing like the incomparable Joni Mitchell but it is needed that the song be offered for listening and study. The lyrics are vital references.) The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" sung by Johnny Cash . . . --------------------- Other songs of interest "Sledgehammer" sung by Peter Gabriel "Good Ole Boys Like Me" sung by Don Williams
