A wet summer day When I woke up this morning, the sky was dark and I heard the rush of rain. My dog was still in deep sleep and had obiously no motivation for the first walk of the day. So I needed not to hurry and had a breakfast first. After I finished my coffee, Jeannie (my dog) still acted as if sleeping, but I could see clearly, she was watching me secretly . In the meantime the rain got less and we gave it a try. Jeannie hates rain, especially if it wets her back. She has a thick fur and I suppose it is an inconvenient feeling to get soaked to the skin. Plus she needs the whole day then until she has dried again. No need to say that it was a quite short walk this morning. Now it's late evening and it's still pelting down. After weeks of extreme dryness, the rain was important for crops and trees, but as in past summers, we either get no rain at all or it is raining cats and dogs. Vast areas are flooded as the wather can't trickle off as quickly as it falls from the sky. Hope, tomorrow we will enjoy a real summer again. I think all that's due to the climate change.

No need to say that it was a quite short walk this morning.
Now it's late in the evening and it's still pelting down.
After weeks of extreme dryness, the rain was important for crops and trees, but just like the past summers, we either get no rain at all or it is raining rains cats and dogs.
Vast areas are flooded as the wather water can't trickle off as quickly as it falls from the sky.
Hope, tomorrow we will enjoy a real summer again.
