IELTS writing task 2 answer (4) (is international cooperation important?) Question: In modern worlds, the friendships between countries becomes much more important than before, because we should confront with a lot of affairs together. To what extent you agree or disagree? Answer: Nowadays the rapid globalisation has made the world a much more unified community than before. I agree that countries worldwide have to join forces in various respects, instead of working individually for their own targets. Environmental deterioration these days is believed to have posed a serious threat to human survival, and one country’s effort to deal with this problem can be futile if other countries are not involved. It is because that the mankind shares the same biosphere, whose components are interrelated, so a slight move in one part may affect the situation as a whole. For example, the air in one nation can be polluted by the industrial waste gas discharged by its neighbouring country. On the economic front, different countries should also make a joint effort to ensure strong, sustained and balanced global growth. According to the economists, different countries specialise in different products because of geographical and other conditions. Therefore different areas need to exchange commodities or raw materials to form an integrated market and production line. By way of illustration, a particular nation may need textile from China, machinery from Germany and produce from New Zealand to tackle the shortage of these products. It is also undeniable that the international security is under threat, and urgently requires international cooperation to improve the situation. Some nations clash with each other because of long-stand ethnic conflicts, and thus pushing themselves into war-torn and poverty-stricken situation with scanty resources. People there are in desperate need of food, medicine, tents and shelters. To alleviate this problem, humanitarian action provided by international organisations is demanded. In conclusion, countries from all four corners of the world should work together in many ways, so as to improve their citizens’ living standard.

Question:

In modern worlds, the friendships between countries becomes much more important than before, because we should confront with a lot of affairs together. To what extent you agree or disagree?

Answer:

Rapid globalisation has made the world a much more unified community than before. I agree that countries worldwide have to join forces in various areas, instead of working individually for their own targets.

Environmental deterioration these days is believed to have posed a serious threat to human survival, and one country’s effort to deal with this problem can be futile if other countries are not involved. This is because that the mankind shares the same biosphere, whose components are interrelated, so a slight move in one part may affect the situation as a whole. For example, the air in one nation can be polluted by the industrial waste gas discharged by a neighbouring country.

On the economic front, different countries should also make a joint effort to ensure strong, sustained and balanced global growth. According to the economists, different countries specialise in different products due to geographical and other conditions. Therefore different areas need to exchange commodities or raw materials to form an integrated market and production chain. By way of illustration, a particular nation may need textiles from China, machinery from Germany and produce from New Zealand to tackle local shortages of these products.

It is also undeniable that the international security is under threat, and urgently requires international cooperation to improve the situation. Some nations clash with each other because of long-standing ethnic conflicts, and thus pushing themselves into war-torn and poverty-stricken situations with scanty resources. People there are in desperate need of food, medicine, tents and shelters. To alleviate this problem, humanitarian action provided by international organisations is required.

In conclusion, countries from all four corners of the world should work together in various ways, so as to improve their citizens’ living standards.

Remind me to give you the rule for "due to" vs. "because of."
