My rights

I like Italki for many reasons. The most important one is because it is a place to find help to improve your English. But I also like this place because it's an open window to the world, a place to pour yourself out without any personal commitment... And at times this is really useful. There are things you cannot tell those around you, simply because this would mean to giveing some explanations you don't feel like giving. Today, for instance, I would like to talk about everybody's right to be private. The right to choose who can write to you on your personal email, who can call you on your cell phone. The right to be heard before being insulted. And also the right to be respected by a person even before having met you. The way you feel after your privacy has been assaulted is difficult to describe. It's a mixture of anger, rage and a sensation of being naked in the middle of a crowd of people without being given the opportunity to reach for your underwear. It's not fair.
