Patient No. 1: (Ulcers) Doc, I have a dull, burning sensation in my stomach. The pain subsides if I eat something or take an antacid. Sometimes my stomach feels bloated. I've also been losing weight.
Patient No. 2: (Stomach cancer) Can you help me, Doctor? I have indigestion, and I feel chronic discomfort in my stomach. The pain gets worse after I eat. I'm often a bit nauseous, and once in awhile I produce vomit which contains some blood it in. I think there is also blood in my stool. I am losing weight, and I am also losing my appetite.
Patient No. 3: (Appendicitis) I have a dull pain near my navel (belly button), and the pain gets worse as you go down and to the right. I feel nauseous soon after the pain begins. My abdomen is swollen, and I have a fever. I have little appetite.
