He was taking people in the hospital. 4. The whole day yesterday I was going to phone to my friend, but I had no time. 5. The all time long yesterday we were receiving faxes from different cities at the office.

New Sentences

1. Our colleagues were playing tennis from 12 untill 2 o'clock in the afternoon yesterday. During the play, we were sitting and watching at them.
2. We were having dinner at half past seven yesterday. During the dinner, we were speaking about the flowers in our garden.
3. Our doctor was working the all night long yesterday. He was taking people into the hospital.
4. The whole of day yesterday I was going to phone to my friend, but I had no time.
5. The All day time long yesterday we were receiving faxes from different cities in at the office.

 

Good! Only a few small errors. A few notes:

-In English it is far more common to use the simple past tense. These sentences sound slightly contrived because you have used a different tense. Let me explain:

-Our colleagues <em>were playing</em> / our colleagues <em>played</em>

-We <em>were sitting</em> / we <em>sat</em>

-We <em>were having</em> / we <em>had</em>

-When you start a sentence with an adverb of time then you should use a comma after it
