红楼梦 诗词         Poetry from "Dream of the Res Chamber"

枕上轻寒窗外雨    A light cold caressing the pillow as the outside window rain fell.
眼前春色梦中人    The beauty of spring before my eyes but I longed for the man of my dreams.*
盈盈烛泪因谁泣    For whom are the tears flowing in the candle?
默默花愁为我嗔    Silently the sorrowful are the flowers, staring and rebuking me.

This is only a translation from the words.  I did not try even to interpret its meaning.  For example, in the 2nd line, it can also be translated as "A dreamer's world, a spring time scene".  However, this would be interpretation.

Rain at his window strikes, the pillow’s cold;
Yet to the sleeper’s eyes spring dreams unfold.
Why does the candle shed its waxen tear?
Why on each flower do angry drops appear?
