A Day With My Friends Today, I saw Nina and Andrea, two old friends from BTS. My day started badly began because I went out with my slippers. Fortunately, when I was in the corridor of the apartment building, I noticed it. (My slippers will be soon transplanted to my feet…) Then, I took the bus and I waited in front of an ugly sculpture of hearts. While I was waiting with my umbrella, I looked at people. We see everything here. Middle-classes women in skirt who walk tightening her buttocks, toothless guys who squint, homeless people. My friends came. We looked for a restaurant but we were difficult and ironic at the same time: “Oh no, I don’t like the typography on the menu”, “The waiter doesn’t seem nice” :D Finally, we found a restaurant and we ate Bruschettas. We talked about our works. Nina is making a documentary about her Algerian grandma and Andrea obtained her statut of “intermittente” (I don’t know the word in English). I told them the shooting of a short-film for which I participated and we laughed a lot. We’ll see again each other Thursday evening to see the show of “Sound and Light” on the beautiful Place Stanislas in Nancy. In the picture : the ugly sculpture :D

A Day With My Friends

Today, I saw Nina and Andrea, two old friends from BTS. My day started badly began because I went out with my slippers on. Fortunately, while I was in the corridor of the apartment building, I noticed it. (My slippers will soon be attached to my feet…)

Then, I took the bus and I waited in front of an ugly sculpture of hearts. While I was waiting with my umbrella, I looked at people. You can see everyone here:  middle-classes women in skirts who walk tightening their buttocks, toothless guys who squint, and homeless people. My friends came. We looked for a restaurant but we were being difficult / awkward and ironic at the same time: “Oh no, I don’t like the typography (<em>perhaps just "font type"</em>?) of the menu”, “The waiter doesn’t seem nice” :D Finally, we found a restaurant and we ate bruschettas. We talked about our jobs. Nina is making a documentary about her Algerian grandma and Andrea has (qualified as an?) / her statut of “intermittente” (I don’t know the word in English). I told them about the shooting of a short film in which I participated and we laughed a lot.

We’ll see each other again on Thursday evening to see the "Sound and Light” show on the beautiful Place Stanislas in Nancy.

In the picture : the ugly sculpture :D

[<em>Wasn't quite sure about the "intermittente".  "Statut" isn't an English word. Perhaps "status" is what you mean?  We tend to use the original French phrase "Son et lumieres" without transation! It's quite well-known.  Yes sculpture is awful - what were they thinking? You get these in London too. Bien fait! Michael</em>]
