Why to go to university? There are several reasons that will convice one to go to university, but what about those who choose not to go? I'm from Colombia ,education here is a little bit of a struggle. it's mandatory to go to primary school and high school until 11th grade. but vast areas in Colombia can not afford it, specially in rural areas. Goverment try to put as many children as they can into a classroom, but believe me teach 36 or 42 children at thesame time is not easy. going to university enables you to be more competite, more analityc, by going to university you will improve your skills on whatever topic or field you choose. in my case it was english and public administration. attending university will help you to find a better job. but what do I mean by a better job? sitting all day typing boring things, talking to boring people is a great job?. to young people like me with not children, and living with my parents a good job is one that requires just what I learned ,and to have a set schedule. so it is not about the job per se, but about wheter you can do or can not do it and how much time does it requires. typing is just so normal yo me I have doing it since forever like most of you, one needs to type everyday even now I'm typing so it's not a big deal. talking to boring people, well they are boring if you find them boring, for exmaple to me a conversation about advanced phisics is just so boring I will fal asleep, but an undergraduate student of that field will feel in heaven ( hopefully). so it just depends on your intereses. many things can prevent us from not entering university. first one: money, lets face it, money makes the world go around, so if you don't have it you are not going anywhere, hopefuly you have more than I have so it's no going to be a big deal for you. but if you are in the same bout as I am this link will be good news for you http://www.lumni.net/ as lumni says " Lumni doesn’t make loans. Instead, we finance your education, and in exchange, you commit to paying a fixed percentage of your income for a fixed period of time". it's not that jus great, so ona excuse less. I don't need a degree to do what I do, I am just fine and comfortable doing it. so let's elaborate a little bit on that. bill gates, famous rich person, inventor of microsoft; yes he dropped out of harvart, but guess what, he was always top of his class and even excused from mathematics subjects because he demostrated that he already knew it.

Why to go to university?

There are several reasons that will convince one to go to university, but what about those who choose not to go?

I'm from Colombia, education here is a little bit of a struggle. It's mandatory to go to primary school and high school until the 11th gradebut vast areas in Colombia can not afford it, especially in rural areas. The goverment tries to put as many children as they can into a classroom, but believe me, teaching 36 or 42 children at the same time is not easy.

Going to university enables you to be more competitive, more analytic; by going to university you will improve your skills in whatever topic or field you choose. In my case it was English and public administration.

Attending university will help you to find a better job, but what do I mean by a better job? Sitting all day typing boring things. Talking to boring people is a great job?.

To young people like me with not children, and living with my parents, a good job is one that requires just what I learned, and to have a set schedule.
So it is not about the job per se, but about whetever you can do or can not do it and how much time does it requires.

Typing is just so normal to me. I have been doing it since forever like most of you, and one needs to type everyday. Even now I'm typing so it's not a big deal. Talking to boring people... well they are boring if you find them boring, for example to me a conversation about advanced physics is just so boring I will likely fall asleep, but an undergraduate student of in that field will feel like they are in heaven (hopefully).

So it just depends on your interests. Many things can prevent us from not [Double negative] entering university.
First one: money, lets face it, money makes the world go around, so if you don't have it you are not going anywhere, though hopefully you have more than I have so it's no going to be a big deal for you. but However, if you are in the same boat as I am, this link will be good news for you http://www.lumni.net/ as lumni says "Lumni doesn’t make loans. Instead, we finance your education, and in exchange, you commit to paying a fixed percentage of your income for a fixed period of time". it's not Isn't that jus great? so One excuse less.

I don't need a degree to do what I do, I am just fine and comfortable doing it. so Let's elaborate a little bit on that. Bill Gates, a famous rich person, inventor founder of Microsoft; yes he dropped out of Harvard, but guess what, he was always top of his class and even excused from mathematics subjects because he demostrated that he already knew it.
