Music Cover Listening to cover songs can tell a singer or musician's sense whether he or she has a good ear. Of course, most original songs are better than the covered ones, but sometimes, they become a more artistic piece than the original songs. When it comes to modern and contemporary music, western countries have a long history of listening to sophisticated classical music and also various traditional music which transcended from time to time. The music has been developed by many great composers in Europe along with different forms of art. Various accoustic instruments like piano, guitar, bass, drums, and others were developed and combined with electronic devices. The person, who set an electric jack into those instruments and electrify and amplify the instruments, must have been savage but genius and should be a true rock n' roller. Generally speaking, when it comes to modern artistic form of music, some western cultures are very advanced. To me, Even Britney Spears music was astounding when I first heard the sounds composed in the song. In my country, I dare to say songs made for pop idols are a piece of crap. Many popular songs in the recent hit charts sound similar to the past hit songs and uses slightly different codes progress. Thus, I believe so many followers to the recent western music in various genres exist, even among professional music creators and players. However, do good songs only exist in those western countries? NO. Good songs can be appreciated over differences of languages and can move people's feelings. It is hard to find a good song because each individual have different taste of music and because some people appreciate sophisticated music while the other prefer crappy songs... In my way of viewing or listening to music, heart to sing and play and also creativity in one single sound weigh more than techniques of players or popularity or trends of the music. Singers with a good heart will almost always sing well. Good musicians are talented to create sounds and compose original piece like an artist. Here, in italki some people are interested in Japanese music, mostly pop-music. There are many good and bad ones. But, the music group called Goose House, who performs independently and mainly play covered songs, have a good taste of music to cover and sing and play them well. If you are interested in Japanese pops, you might find a good one from their works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSYRdI-13dI

Interesting perspective! Although I respectfully disagree with your assertion that a good heart will result in good singing. ^^ I will have to check out the link when I have some free time.

You're writing at a very advanced level. Most of my corrections were for consistency -- if you start in plural, stay in plural. If you start in present tense, stay in present tense.

And I wasn't sure about "chord progressions" but it made more sense in context. Sorry if that's not what you meant!
