Describe a decision you made that wasn't popular and how you handled implementing it. I’m a BA, my daily tasks are implementing new system’s modules, reingeniiring business processes, correcting user manuals and so on. So, I can say that almost all my decisions are unpopular in greater or lesser extent, because people don’t like changes, which are related to their work. Even if changes will optimize their work, their first reactions are resistance and disagreement. That is why I try always separate my duties from my feelings at work. I just do my best according to a project plan. In this case when I hear that someone says «I hate this…» or «This is awful..» it doesn’t hurt me at all. I understand that this statement doesn’t relevant to my competence or me personally, people just need some time to get used to innovations.

Describe a decision you made that wasn't popular and how you handled implementing it.

I’m a BA, my daily tasks are implementing new system’s modules, re-engineering (English pronunciation is so unpredictable, but 'ii' is very rare and 'radii' is the one that comes to mind) business processes, correcting user manuals and so on. So, I can say that almost all my decisions are unpopular in to greater or lesser (much easier to say 'some' extent), because people don’t like changes, particularly those which are related to their work. Even if such/these changes will optimize their work, their first reactions are resistance and disagreement. (human nature!)
That is why I try always try to separate my duties from my feelings at work. I just do my best according to a project plan. In this case when I hear that someone says «I hate this…» or «This is awful..» it doesn’t hurt me at all. I understand that this statement doesn’t relevant relate to my competence, or to me personally - people just need some time to get used to innovations.

1. 'change' and 'innovation' are abstractions without articles or adjectives, and appear in singular form. The second 'changes' relates to specific change, and adding the demonstrative adj. 'these' makes that clear. I'd prefer to make the second 'changes' 'such change' in fact. Not so simple!

2. Hyphenation of reengingeering will draw some argument, but I will hyphenate when the pronunciation is at sight misleading as too in co-operation.

3. 'So' usually introduces a result or outcome or consequence of something that has been said before. Does it refer to being a 'BA' or to 're-engineering'? I wasn't sure.

4. Using the em dash ' - ' rather than comma ',': makes it more emphatic

That is why I try always try to separate my duties from my feelings at work. I just do my best according to a project plan. In this case when I hear that someone says «I hate this…» or «This is awful..» it doesn’t hurt me at all. I understand that these statements doesn’t aren't relevant to my competence or myslef personally, people just need some time to get used to innovations.

You're right, that's the way that people behave when facing changes, the problem is that people used to perceive innovation as "changes", and "changes" are not necesarily a good thing, so in this case innovation has to be more a kind of "selling the idea" in order to get a better response from people, is not esay, I know it. :)
