Ernest hemingway Ernest Hemingway ,one of the most famous authors in the world, was born in a country doctor family in 1899.He wrote for the student paper when he was at school.And he found his first job as a reporter in the Kansas City Star. When he was eighteen-year old, he tried to enlist the army . But he was refused because of his poor eyesight. Then he joined the Red Cross as an ambulance driver and went to European battlefield. In Europe he was injured and met a nurse who he wrote the novel-A Farewell to Arms for. Because of the injury he returned back to America . After the World War One , he worked as an European correspondent at another newspaper and went to Europe again. During the 1920s he wrote In Our Time and Men And Women which was the most important works of 20th century fiction. And he also became a very famous American author. After the Second World War , he began to write the Old Man and The Sea which was known as his representative works. He won the Noble Prize for literature in 1954. Unfortunately ,not long after,he became suicidal and in 1961 he ended his own life. How tragic it was!

After the Second World War, he began to write the "Old Man and The Sea" which was known as his most representative/accessible work(?). He won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1954. Unfortunately, not long after, he became suicidal and in 1961 he ended his own life. How tragic it was!
