Causative verbs
The school's director has gotten my father to come to school.
I made my father not (to)? go to school. Variant: I didn't let my father go to school. The first variant is strong: Папа, я запрещаю тебе идти в школу!! The second variant can either be strong (Папа не ходил в школу, потому что я привязал его к столу), but in other contexts in can be softer: Папа, пожааааалуйста, не иди в школу.
My mother makes me do my homework. [present tense]
My mother made me do my homework. [past tense]
